Purple Horizon is a privately held, founder-led technology company building a diversified portfolio: software ventures we create and own, engineering for select partners, and investment in early-stage technology companies.
Who we are
Purple Horizon is organised around three lines of business. Ventures are software companies we originate, build and own ourselves, with SaaS at the centre. Engineering is the work we take on for select partners, across AI, financial technology, cloud infrastructure, blockchain and data. Investments is our own capital, put behind early-stage technology companies and the founders who run them.
The three reinforce each other. Building our own products keeps our engineering honest; working with partners keeps it broad; and both give us an informed view of where to invest.
We were founded in 2026 and are at the start of a long project: a diversified group of technology businesses, built patiently and held for the long term.
How we operate
Engineering as craft.
We treat software the way good builders treat anything else they make — with attention, restraint, and the assumption that someone else will have to live with it.

We work on what we know how to do well, and we say so plainly when something is outside that.

We build systems that get better over time, not worse — code that stays legible as it grows, infrastructure that scales without rewrites, and operational habits that pay off years later.

Purple Horizon Ventures LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company, founded in 2026 and registered with the Wyoming Secretary of State. It is privately held, invests only its own capital, and does not manage money for others.

Christopher Harrison
Christopher read theoretical physics at university and has worked professionally in technology for more than a decade. His career has spanned senior business development and engineering leadership, covering distributed systems, low-level infrastructure, and the operational discipline of running production software at scale.
He founded Purple Horizon in 2026 to build, own and back technology companies for the long term. He leads the company's ventures, engineering and investment decisions and can be reached at [email protected].
